20-for-20 Mentors Campaign

Help us transform the futures of 20 local young adults by giving up a couple of hours a month to befriend, encourage and inspire just one.

Adults of all ages, from all cultures welcome

Sign up now!

We will register you and accredit you as a community mentor, provide you with ongoing coaching supervision and match you with someone suitable. Just enrol for our 20/20 mentoring course – £95 (2 days, includes registration, accreditation, certificate awarded) and free CRB clearance.

Workshop: From compensation to remediation, 3 strategies for meaningful communication with your child

12.00–1.30 Hear to Listen – an exhibition of communication projects, toolkits and training resources:

Break the Cycle CD: hear the experiences and hopes of 40 local young people taking part in St Neots Abuse Project 2010 action research into the level of violence in young people’s everyday living.

Community Café Listeners training – our volunteer team of community coaches give 1-to-1 space for those who need to talk. Hear to Listen is their 2 day introduction to active listening, the first step toward coaching, mentoring & counselling.

1.30-2.30 Guest speaker: Sandy Kennedy, Child Whispering

Workshop: Introducing unique strategies to improve communication between adults and young people using a range of exciting visual materials.

3.30-4.45 Youth Survey & Talk: Is there a need for a youth meeting place in town? What for? What activities should it run? Would you volunteer to help create it and run it?
